The Mamas and Papas

All the mamas are milked then the milk is either used for soap or lotion making or cheese making. Even though we're not a commercial cheese factory, we do make cheeses for friends and family as gifts.

However, we do expect  around 18 babies in the spring. Many of them will be for sale.

The babies are heart throbs. Once you've fed them, they'll own you for ever. That's why we have so many volunteers come in at feeding time.

Below are a few of our happenings out here.

Mama Barbara w/daughers: Naomi and Wynonna This photo is fuzzy because the babies are jumping on mama then sliding off. She's a slide!
Here's Bob, feeding two babies. It's always the really big guys who fall the hardest! Go figure! Bob is feeding two of the babies.
The babies are almost hidden in the pasture. The babies are hard to find in this tall grass. But the managed to jump from one spot to another. No one got lost! Well, for long ... anyway.
more baby pictures ... Laying in the dirt is a favorite past time.
Here you can see the size differences between the adults and the babies. Here we have a mama for scale. The little guys are scene stealers!
