Sleeping Dog Ranch Nubian Goats

Goat Gallery

Minnie was our 'only goat' for several months. Delight’s daughter lives with us now. Minnie is  healthy energetic, vibrant lady who gave us  surprise on April 10, 2003
Mamma Minnie watching over Baby Lester (one day old). Mamma Minnie looks like she still hasn’t figured out what this creature is and where he came from. Yes, this was her first baby.

Lester taking in his new world Lester’s first steps out of his stall while inhaling his new world (one day old).
Momma Minnie and Baby Lester grazing (three days old).

Lester and Mamma Minnie walking around the pasture (three days old).

Hazel

Presenting Lester of Sleeping Dog Ranch. (one week old)

Our first born, a Nubian-Boer cross and the apple of our eyes.

Our foundation ladies

Hazel Hazel, a LaMancha who gave us our first goat kisses.
A Nubian, Delight, taught me just how high a goat could kick. Delight, a Nubian who taught us the goat word for “NO”!
Unfortunately, these two ladies died from tetanus. Lesson Learned: tetanus vaccinations are now mandatory for SDR.
Bob with Sherry Red This is one of my favorite photographs. Sherry Red looks like she's smooching on Bob's ear. What a lovely thought! Ha! she's really after his straw hat. He still has this hat but it's a bit worn.
Sherry Red How can you deny this face. Sherry Red is adorable, loving, and comes to say hello every time someone enters her pasture. What a delight! Ah ... hummm ... she does bite, however. Mostly out of curiosity, but she bites none the less.
Pearl, our ONLY girl born in 2006 Our ONLY girl born in 2006. Her name is Pearl, our little jewel.
